Death & Destruction in the Valley of Virginia

I'm always loathe to reveal or even hint at any of the discord that might occur in my little life. Haters, internet creeps & probably 90% of those who know you looooove to hear it. But since I really really don't care about anyone but those who love me...I'm gonna dish!

Death in the family! Tragic, well yeah I guess. I was recently told one must show 'respect' in these situations. I'm reminded of that quote in my favorite movie, American Psycho about being not quite human. Of course that's a lie because we all fake emotions. We all assess the situation & act accordingly.

That's nice :) but it's also phony! Trouble in life, trouble in death. What ugliness! Have a little bit of pretty to chase it away. XoXo :) & remember: the love I feel is real & it's strong...but only the deserving will get any of it.

What's in a Name?

I think everyone wants to write their own life story or imagines a movie about their life. And astonishingly most think it would be interesting.

I fancy myself a writer, as evidenced by my constant writing in notebooks, journals & now online. Furthermore, tho I'm no Rhodes scholar, I happen to understand the functionality & form of it. And lastly, while fully aware that I'm not gonna be sayin' any Mark Twain type sh*t (nod yes if you get that), do I ever have a helluva story to tell...

I thought I'd begin with the day I was born, January 7, 1972, here in the same city I'm living in now, Roanoke, VA. Sounds dull I know, yawn...so let's get to that child's name because it's not Eva :)

No, my parents decided long before I was born that they'd make darn sure part of my destiny would be to be unusual...Maybe that's a good thought for some, but for a couple of zonked out 70's misfits living like gypsies...it's a horrible thought. Therefore, they saddled me with my first curse, I'm Wyndoe Teicha Seeh Little, or at least I used to be, until that & a lotta other things changed.

That's about all for today. Y'all are just gonna have to trust me that it only gets more interesting from here.

Original Photography by: Eva Elisabeth Brown

I took this photo at the top of Dundee ave. in Roanoke City, Virginia. It's a lovely view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This second photo was taken nearby on 18th street at sunset. Isn't it lovely in Mrs. Brown's neighborhood? Thank you for stopping by ;) XoXo - Eva Elisabeth Brown

XoXo! From: Eva Elisabeth

I've decided to use this blog as my personal blog, where I'll talk about my life & my opinions. I've always tried to keep my blogs friendly & not personal...& for a time I did most of my blogging on my own personal Facebook (now deleted RIP). But the thing about blogging is that if it's not paying, getting seen & publicly visible it's just not fun or useful!

And why use another highly invasive website when I can use my own? I'm not sure why I ever retreated to Facebook for blogging, silly me!

My plan is to maintain this as a personal blog...for those who might still want to follow my writing, my photos, my life. Many of you only know me online but that's okay! Visit me :) & my cats here now & spend less time on the evil FB!

I'm Eva ELisabeth. There's not much to know about me...a boring little woman, with a boring little life. I live in a small southern town & grew up in an even smaller southern town.

As a toddler my parents lived all over Florida & Virginia with me & my brother. I wound up being one of those gifted & talented kids who never had to try hard in school...maybe a little bit of a goth...but I always managed to fit in. I was very into the arts, cheering, soccer, softball & fund raising for the AHA. I went on to attend college at Mary Baldwin College & later Virginia Western Community College & J. Sargeant Reynolds. I also graduated from L'image school of Cosmetology & attended Virginia Hair Academy.

For many years I worked in a local factory called Elizabeth Arden or CEI, making & packing perfume & makeup, then later in a supervisory position called Utility Operator. There may also be some who recall me working as a waitress in the old S&S cafe at Tower's Mall. Additionally I've worked in sales, most notably of jewelry, & floral design, the majority of which centered around Christmas decor interestingly enough. At 19 I began cosmetology school & went on to become a nail artist for a time...working in many local & regional hair, nail & tanning salons. I also ran a natural nail shop in my home for 2 years until the area was rezoned.

I first began writing blogs of silly stories & recipes in 2011, since then I have moved on to making a few YouTube videos & I try to take artistic photos & edit them to my own satisfaction...hopefully they'll please others as well. I share them regularly on my fan page at www.facebook.com/mistresstroll

Now in my 40's, I still have many varied interests & an artistic nature. Since 2009 I have had far more time to explore my pastimes. My hobbies include photography, writing, web development, thrift shopping, salvage, crafts, shameless self promotion, reading about crime, hiking in the woods, watching horror movies & staring at shiny things. You can usually find me at home where I manage to keep busy with my 2 teenage boys & a little bit of volunteer work I...it helps me feel useful so I'm no hero...well maybe I'm the Batman but you'll never know!
